Concept: "Never forget your first Smash"
For this creative concept I reimagined the cultural love affair with smashed avo - not just as breakfast, but as a moment of intimacy.
Set against the backdrop of a sultry, softly lit bedroom, our hero image blends the sensuality of a 90's rom-com with the comfort and creaminess of smashed avocado on toast. It's playful, nostalgic and a little bit cheeky, just like your first real crush.

From Concept to Composition
The initial concept began with a young couple at a table, but early explorations revealed that it was difficult to capture the level of intimacy the idea needed. That led to a shift toward the bedroom setting — a more surprising and emotionally resonant backdrop.
Through experimentation, I quickly learned that not all AI image generators are created equal. Lighting, food texture, and composition varied wildly between platforms. In the end, Flux Pro 1.1 Ultra delivered the most visually appealing results — especially when it came to producing appetising food.
To achieve the final composition, I had to dial in extremely specific prompts: everything from the position of the out-of-focus couple in the background to the precise placement of each element on the plate. Once the base image was close, I moved into Photoshop for object-level retouching and scene extensions.
After that, I upscaled the image using Magnific Upscale, followed by a final polish pass: colour grading, depth-of-field bokeh, and that soft, romantic ‘90s glow using Deep Glow. Headline typography and finishing touches were completed in After Effects.
Creative Context
This is a self-initiated, unbriefed concept that let me explore what AI can do — while also showing off my skills in concepting, copywriting, art direction and design.
